Job description 

2e Systems is seeking motivated and curious student developers to join our front end team in Zagreb. You will work alongside experienced developers and contribute to real production systems using modern front end technologies. Depending on your interests and skills, you may contribute to:

• Developing and maintaining modern web-based applications using React, TypeScript, and related tooling
• Enhancing mobile features using React Native
• Supporting our backend-for-frontend (BFF) APIs and admin tools built with PHP and Laravel

As part of your work, you may also:

• Support the deployment of features and updates to sandbox environments
• Participate in diagnosing and troubleshooting issues in development and testing phases
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Product Owners, and international colleagues

This role offers a chance to get hands-on experience in a real development team, take part in technical discussions, and grow your skills through mentorship and collaboration.

You should have experience with or be eager to learn (some, or all):

• JavaScript and TypeScript fundamentals
• React, Redux, Next.js (or other component-based JS frameworks and tools)
• HTML/CSS basics (SASS is a plus)
• PHP and Laravel basics
• Cross-platform development using libraries such as React Native
• Git for version control
• RESTful APIs or GraphQL (bonus if you’ve worked with any)
• Develop best practices such as coding standards, design patterns, SOLID/DRY/KISS principles, etc.

• Are currently enrolled in a relevant technical university program (FER, FOI, TVZ, etc.)
• Are self-motivated and willing to ask questions, seek feedback, and improve
• Are curious about frontend and/or full-stack development
• Are comfortable working in a team and independently, while knowing when to ask for help
• Are willing to travel if and when necessary
• Have a good command of English for reading documentation, communicating with colleagues and coding
