Job Summary: As a Deal Advisory Intern, you will be part of a team that provides strategic financial advisory services to clients during mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other business restructuring projects. You will assist senior professionals in delivering high-quality financial, strategic, and operational insights to help clients make informed decisions. This internship offers exposure to a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will work on projects across different industries. Key Responsibilities: • Support in Financial Due Diligence: Assist in gathering and analyzing financial, commercial, and operational data of target companies to support buy-side and sell-side transactions. • Market Research: Conduct industry and company-specific research to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that may impact the deal. • Valuation Support: Help the team in performing financial valuations using discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company analysis, and precedent transactions methods. • Transaction Modelling: Assist in creating and maintaining financial models for transactions, including assessing the impact of potential transactions on clients’ financial performance. • Preparation of Reports and Presentations: Draft deal reports, presentations, and proposals for clients, providing insights into transaction drivers, risks, and key considerations. • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with teams across the firm (e.g., Tax, Legal, Audit) to gather and analyze the necessary information for deals. • Assist with Post-Transaction Support: Help in the integration or separation of business units post-deal, working on operational, financial, and tax matters. • Ad-Hoc Tasks: Support the team with administrative tasks, data entry, and document preparation, as needed during the deal lifecycle. Qualifications and Skills: Education: • Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. • MBA students or those pursuing professional qualifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CFA) will be given preference. Technical Skills: • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). • Basic understanding of financial modeling and valuation techniques. Soft Skills: • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. • Attention to detail with strong organizational skills. • A proactive attitude, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
