We are seeking a talented student with 2 years of Full Stack Developer experience to join our team for the next 3 months to work on an exciting data-driven web application, built using Java and React, integrated through Vaadin Hilla. A commitment of at least 30 hours per week is required for this role, and candidates in their final year of studies are highly preferred.

You will build a data-driven web application as part of a project that has been in progress for the past 2 years. The application is designed to equip customer support users with tools they need to perform advanced data management and stewardship tasks. This functionality is achieved through integration with a developed data management platform. Your work will contribute to an advanced data management solution, designed to integrate data from multiple sources across the organization, which marks a key milestone in the final stage of the project.

This project offers an opportunity to work on a web application with no legacy issues, leveraging modern web technologies and CI/CD practices. The project is part of a complex data management ecosystem that includes apps, databases, messaging queues, database replicators, ETL processes, microservices, and caching layers—all of which influence and interact with the web application. To succeed, you'll need to gain a thorough understanding of the entire system, making this both an engaging and rewarding challenge.

With the team spread across time zones, especially the U.S., proactivity is essential. You'll tackle issues daily, all while collaborating within a team that has been on the project from the start. Scrum-based agile development ensures a fast-paced environment, while challenging deadlines demand commitment, ownership, and an active role. This is an opportunity to learn from professionals and contribute meaningfully to developing a solution.

As part of an international team of six, you will contribute to implementing and refining key features to ensure the successful release of the web application’s initial phase within 3 months. Your responsibilities will include adding new functionalities to meet user needs, integrating the application with the data platform, implementing SSO authorization, conducting unit testing, fixing bugs, and contributing to UI/UX improvements.

-Experience in React front-end and Spring Boot back-end development
-Familiarity with Vaadin Hilla

-Familiarity with SSO authentication method
-Fluency in both written and spoken English
